Gideon | Woodstock Baby and Family Lifestyle Photographer

If you’ve been following my blog, then you will recognize this gorgeous family, except the last time you saw them, Gideon was still just a bun in the oven! Now he’s six months old and the *happiest” baby ever! I have been watching him grow by seeing updates on social media, but let me tell you- in person he is just the smiliest guy ever. Mom was right!

We met up on a weekday morning at the studio and it was pure magic. I absolutely love six month old babies. They are so happy and smiling, and usually a game of peekaboo is all it takes to get a big belly laugh. Fran and Kevin were so much fun, and were up for anything. We played, we cuddled, and we had the best time celebrating little man’s 6 month milestone!

My favorite thing about baby milestone sessions is that they are family sessions too. The whole family loving on their tiniest one and making fun memories. Because believe me, folks, they grow up fast! I have a 15 year old daughter, and wow. You think you have so. much. time. You think they will wear diapers forever and not sleep good ever. But it all changes and you look back and you just savor that sweet time.

There are AM sessions (great for babies and toddlers!) and PM sessions (perfect for that yummy golden light we all love!) and both will be at the Farm in Woodstock.

Rain date will be October 21st, in the event we have a washout. (fingers crossed we don’t!)

Much love,

Spring has finally made its way here to Georgia!  After several attempts to reschedule our session due to rain, we finally got a beautiful evening- And, let me tell you- it was worth the wait!

There is absolutely no place like this private farm in Woodstock for a little boy to explore.  We picked flowers for mommy, sang and danced, found "secret" trails and even got to play on the tractor after we finished our session.

We had such a great evening together, and I am so happy that this sweet family chose me to take their very first ever family portraits!  We couldn't have had a more beautiful location or day for our adventure.  And I am pretty sure a certain little boy slept very well that night after logging miles of smiles!

Our Fall Mini Sessions are a huge success every year, and I get the pleasure of spending evenings out together with so many beautiful families, both new faces and old friends.  This year was particularly exciting for me- we completely sold out of our fall mini sessions in August!  I knew I wanted to go somewhere fun with all these families, and in a wide open space where we could run, twirl and play together.

I found a location that made my heart sing!  Our sessions were held at a private farm in Woodstock.  And we did what I simply love to do with every family that I photograph- we hugged, laughed and played together.  My family is my "why I love photography."All the things I want to capture for my family, I strive to capture for yours-

The way your little boy grasps your hand so tightly when you walk with him.

The way your little girl bubbles over with laughter when daddy lifts her high in the air.

The pride on your one year old's face when she takes her first wobbly steps.

The gapped-tooth smile of your first grader, and how sweetly she nurtures her siblings.

The way your husband looks into your eyes as he adores you- all the sacrifices, the late nights, cooking and cleaning, the endless diapers

and driving them to practice.  You do it for them.  And they appreciate you more than you know.

Merry | Family Portrait Photographer Blairsville Georgia

It was so fun meeting Brianne's family for their fall portraits!

Brianne and I went to school together, and lived not far from each other as kids.  So it was such a treat to see her again after many years (and many moves for both of us!)

Aren't they the most adorable family ever?

I think Cade loves his Mama. <3

I don't know, ya'll, but I think these two are in love.

Happy Thanksgiving, you all!

I hope it is a blessed time celebrating life and love and all your happiness.

Barry | Canton Family Photographer

Yay for Fall! It is finally here.  After this super hot summer that we have had, I am ready to pull out the jeans and boots and eat everything pumpkin.  Who is with me?

Barry is celebrating his second birthday in October, and mom wanted to have a fun session that includes all the things Barry loves and some sweet snuggles with her.

Well, the snuggling part was easy, since he loves his mama.

Maybe it's because I have a sweet two year old son myself, but I cannot resist Momma-Son portraits.

I just *love* it when little boys snuggle their mamas.  Nothing like it.

I found out very quickly that Barry loves trucks.  He enjoyed playing with my trucks while we sang and acted silly (and maybe a few Smarties candies were involved as well-- just sayin')

And the wagon. All the boys love the wagon!

This wagon is truely vintage.  It belonged to my husband when he was a little boy, decades ago.

His mom refinished it so that our son can play with it too.  See, I have a theme going here- Mommas and Sons. <3 Gotta love that!

Fall is all about apples and pumpkins and beautiful leaves.

So why not put an apple in your truck?

And... we wore him out.  This was the last capture, and one of the sweetest shots of the session.  Mom is carrying Barry back to the car and then this happened.  I love the sweetness of just everyday life.

It's all good, ya'll.
